-------------------------------------------------------- Release Notes for MRO Management v 5.1.30101 1 January, 2003 -------------------------------------------------------- 1. Introduction -------------------------------------------------------- This text is stored in a file called UPDATE.TXT. It will be installed into the program directory, so you can read or print it at your convenience. These release notes are provided to help you learn about changes to the software which have occurred too late to include in the on-line manual and help systems. Review the Contents section (next) to see if any of the Release Notes may be of interest to you. 2. Contents -------------------------------------------------------- 1. Introduction (prior section) 2. Contents (this section) 3. Enhancements 4. Fixes 5. Known Issues 6. Post-CD Fixes & Enhancements -------------------------------------------------------- 3. Enhancements -------------------------------------------------------- NEW DATA FIELDS Many new data fields have been added to MRO Management, which correspond to the new data fields in the DrugPak Results File and Participants File. DROP-DOWN LISTS Drop-down lists can now speed-up and simplify data entry. AUTO-VALIDATION Previously, "Validating" records (looking for exceptions) was a separate process from editing records. Now records are automatically revalidated every time you save changes to them. EXCEPTIONS WINDOW If a record has exceptions, a special Exceptions Window will be displayed automatically. You can stretch and position the Exceptions Window to your preferred dimensions, and position it wherever you wish. It will remember your settings. You can optionally have the Exceptions window automatically appear and disappear depending upon whether the current record has any exceptions. Or you can choose to manually display and hide the Exceptions Window. A RED "Exceptions" button will appear or disappear depending on whether the record has exceptions. Click the "Exceptions" button to display the Exceptions window, if necessary. EXPORT TO DRUGPAK - FILTER Export to DrugPak has been simplified. Also you can specify a filter to control which records are exported to DrugPak. For example, you can specify that only records modified by a particular user will be exported. BATCH-VERIFY NEGATIVES: BY FILTER Also you can specify a filter to control which records are exported to DrugPak. For example, you can specify that only records modified by a particular user will be exported. GLOBAL SETTINGS: AUTO-VERIFY NEGATIVES Now it is possible to have the system automatically enter MRO NAME and VERIFICATION DATE to negative records which have no exceptions. This can eliminate the step of running the Batch- Verify Negatives process. ADDING PRE-EMPLOYMENT PARTICIPANTS Auto-adding of Pre-Employment participants can now be done without user confirmation. See Global Settings. If you choose to prompt the user before adding pre-employment participants, the prompt now displays much more participant information. SYNCHRONIZING PARTICIPANT INFORMATION MRO Management can now better synchronize participant information between MRO Management and DrugPak, updating the DrugPak record if information is missing in DrugPak but provided in MRO Management. -------------------------------------------------------- 4. Fixes -------------------------------------------------------- TRANSLATION ENGINE - MATCH CODES The Find window in the Translation Engine will now automatically capitalize search strings when searching for codes or company id's. ABORTING THE TRANSLATION PROCESS Previously, after Aborting the import/translation process (via the status window), the Accept button would remain disabled until the user returned to the main screen. This has been fixed, so that the user may abort a translation, and then try to translate again without having to return to the main screen. AUTO-ADD PARTICIPANTS Fixed bug which prevented Pre-Employment participants from being automatically added to the database if the participant is already on file in another company. -------------------------------------------------------- 5. Known Issues -------------------------------------------------------- You can keep up-to-date with the latest version of DrugPak by visiting our Update page on the web: http://drugpak.com/dp50 HELP FILES The Help Files have not yet been updated to cover the new features in v.50. See the "Enhancements" section, above for an overview of what is different in the new software. Call for support if you can't find what you are looking for. Updated help files will be available for download by Dec 31. 002. -------------------------------------------------------- 6. Post-CD Fixes & Enhancements -------------------------------------------------------- v.5.0.20611 -------------------------------------------------------- 1. Lookup windows would not remember field positions and sizes after shutting down the application. -------------------------------------------------------- v.5.0.20617 -------------------------------------------------------- 1. PERFORMANCE ON THE MAIN SCREEN HAS BEEN IMPROVED. The new drop-down lists were not optimized to use indexes. We have customized this component to behave much faster! -------------------------------------------------------- v.5.0.20626 -------------------------------------------------------- 1. Added new options to check for open RND test even if the imported test is non-RND. This routine will use the SSN to check ALL companies. 2. Fixed intermittent Access Violation on main screen. -------------------------------------------------------- v.5.0.20719 -------------------------------------------------------- 1. Export from MRO was not setting the MROX_DATE (date exported from MRO Management) value in the DrugPak result, preventing the Results Export audit trail from working. This has been fixed, for all records which are exported henceforth. 2. When notifying the user that a Specimen is already on file, now the message will identify the Specimen ID value. 3. The alternative Random test type code was not being used when an open RND test could not be found. Now the user will prompted (as in v.4.0) with the opportunity to change the imported test type from RND to RAN. 4. MRO Worksheet and Result List reports would not print records without a company ID. Now records without a company ID will print if the user chooses to print for All Companies. 5. "Find Company" option on Company Function button menu did nothing. This has been fixed. -------------------------------------------------------- v.5.0.20731 -------------------------------------------------------- 1. The "prompt" preference for adding Pre-Employment participants was reversed. When the preference said "Prompt User," the validation would automatically add the participant, and vice-versa. This has been fixed. 2. It was not possible to validate records based on the current filter. The error would appear: "could not find an index order with the specified name." This has been fixed. 3. After translating records, if exceptions were found, the user needed to click the green check in the Status window twice before the window would disappear. This has been fixed. -------------------------------------------------------- v.5.0.20909 -------------------------------------------------------- 1. Now only the MASTER user may delete records from the work area. 2. A new item can be found on the main menu "Tools | Special | Undelete Missing Records". This routine will scan the MRO Work file for deleted records (Specimen ID's) which do not exist in either DrugPak or MRO Management, and restore them. The P_SORT2 field will be given a value of RESTORED so you can use the filter P_SORT2='RESTORED' to isolate the restored records. This routine will only work to restore records which have been deleted since the last time the database was packed. -------------------------------------------------------- v.5.0.20911 -------------------------------------------------------- 1. See "Preferences | Global Settings | General" to control whether all users or only the MASTER user may delete records from the MRO Management work area. The default value is ALL USERS. 2. Now only the MASTER user may modify Global Settings (all users may view the Global Settings, without making changes). -------------------------------------------------------- v.5.0.21003 -------------------------------------------------------- 1. The Export process was using the same field (MROX_DATE) as the DrugPak "Export to MRO" routine to track when the record was exported. This was preventing the "Export to MRO" process from recognizing new results. Henceforth, MRO Management will set the R_ADDED date field, and set the R_ADDEDAPP="M". -------------------------------------------------------- v.5.0.21031 -------------------------------------------------------- 1. For performance reasons, removed the participant drop-down list from the MRO Management main screen. 2. Fixed a bug which was preventing the "Auto-Open" setting from being remembered in the Exception window. 3. Modified the structure of the Global Settings dialog. Instead of a tabbed-notebook interface, a list of categories appears on the left side of the window. 4. Updated the "Verify Negatives" dialog: i) Now the "add filter condition" button works ii) Now the dialog will save the last filter condition used. iii) Now the dialog will have access to all the filters previously used in the work area by the current user. New filters added by the current user in this window will be added to the user's filter list in the main screen. 5. Updated the "Export to DrugPak" dialog. Now the dialog will save the last filter condition used. 6. During the validation process, if the Participant name stored in DrugPak differs from the name imported by MRO Management, the values will only be synchronized if the SSN is the same. (See Global Settings to control whether DrugPak is updated with the value from MRO Management or vice-versa). 5. A new option "Forbid Numeric Names" will clear the name field during the Validation process, if the name begins with a number. The name will be transferred to the INTERNAL comments field. 6. COC date is optionally required. This option may be configured separately for DOT and Non-DOT. See Global Settings | Required Fields. 7. MRO Management will respect the DrugPak Workstation Preference "COC checkbox uses today's date". When this option is turned on, clicking the COC checkbox on the result detail page causes the system date to be automatically entered into the COC_DATE field. If this option is turned OFF, then clicking the COC checkbox on the results page causes a calendar component to appear. 8. "Auto-enter MRO Name and Verification date" options are now stored separately for DOT and non-DOT. See "Preferences | Global Settings | Validation Options". 9. The exception "This pre-employment participant is not yet on file" was a common exception found during the translation process. However, this exceptions really served no purpose, because when records were added to the work area, it would be automatically removed. Therefore this exception will no longer appear when Translating records. 10. Sample Type is now optionally a required field. See "Global Settings | Required Fields" 11. New option "Automatically revalidate records when adding to the Work Area". This option forces the system to revalidate records when adding them to the work area. Primarily this serves to streamline the process of adding Pre- Employment participants to DrugPak. 12. Defaulting specimen type to "Urine" is now optional. See "Preferences | Global Settings | Validation Options" 13. Fixed a bug which could cause duplicate collector names to be added to the collector name database, and collector names to be added to the wrong collection site. To update and correct your collector name database automatically, see DRUGPAK "Tools | Advanced | Rebuild Collector Names File" 14. Previously the validation process would only check to see if the Specimen ID was already on file if there were no other exceptions in the record. This meant that the user may spend some time correcting exceptions just to discover that the record was a duplicate. Now it will check even if other exceptions were found. -------------------------------------------------------- v.5.0.21101 -------------------------------------------------------- 1. Version ...21031 introduced a bug which prevented Client/Server connections to the MRO Management database. This has been fixed. 2. Now "The COC Date is missing" exception will only appear when validating in the work area. (Also note: Requiring COC date is optional for DOT/Non-DOT.) This is because 3. A major performance enhancement was implemented in the Validation process. Network users especially should notice an increased speed when importing, revalidating, and exporting records. -------------------------------------------------------- v.5.0.21113 -------------------------------------------------------- 1. Now the validation process will remove leading spaces from the Participant Name field. This resolves problems with the "Forbid Numeric Names" option, which was not being respected if the name began with a space. -------------------------------------------------------- v.5.0.21122 -------------------------------------------------------- 1. The "Require COC for DOT" and "Require Name for DOT" options were reversed, i.e., the validation routine was reading the settings reversed. You would not notice a difference if both requirements were the same. This bug has been fixed. -------------------------------------------------------- v.5.0.21125 -------------------------------------------------------- 1. The Result Export Audit trail report was not properly finding qualifying records. This has been fixed. 2. The Result Export Audit trail report was displaying the wrong value for the Exported date. This has been fixed. 3. To improve performance of the Result Export Audit Trail report, the latest DrugPak update (v.5.0.21125) is recommended. 4. The MRO Work Area browser table was not properly remembering the position of the fields. This has been fixed. You will need to reorganize your grid one last time; henceforth the position and widths of the columns will be remembered. -------------------------------------------------------- v.5.0.21217 -------------------------------------------------------- 1. Added "ADD ALL" and "SKIP ALL" buttons.to the "Add this participant" dialog during the validation process. This is used only when "Prompt to add" option is selected. It remembers only for the current "Round" of validation... I.E. it does not remember for the entire MRO session. Each time you import, or choose "Validate Current / Filtered / All" it forgets again. -------------------------------------------------------- v.5.1.30101 -------------------------------------------------------- 1. Fixed a bug in the validation process, introduced on 12/17/2002. This bug was in the routine for changing the test type from RND to [RAN] for non-DrugPak random selections, and it caused the process to never change the test type. This has been fixed. 2. Fixed a bug in the validation process, which caused an exception to be reported for positive Alcohol results. This has been fixed.
